Meet the Redding's!
With a shared passion for all things home, this couple turned Courtney's expertise in real estate into more than just an expert in the industry, more of a one-stop shop for their home. Tyler supported and agreed that it should be more than just a transaction, clients needed more referrals, recommendations, and just had to make so many calls to get anything accomplished. That's when they knew they had to do something to make it easier for their clients to settle-in or move-on. Together, they bring a perfect blend of creativity, efficiency, and dedication to every project, helping clients transform their spaces into something truly special, helping through all stages of home ownership and guiding on how to love your home through and through. The hope is that, piece-by-piece The Blue Nest, Co. will become a household name, bringing our families together for all-things home, community and creativity.

What's in a name?
Our name has a deep personal meaning. The “Blue” represents a lot of cherished childhood memories — one, a beloved blue velvet chair of my Grandma Sue's that, for me, symbolized comfort, warmth, and connection. She loved the way that textures and materials felt in her hands, always admiring the deeper beauty of the little things in your life and home. If you know me, I have lists. She would always have a list going in front of her, scribbles on all corners of the pages and some thoughts written out on the margins. She always had a plan, creating a solution to any problem, always the blueprint for a lot of people.
The “Nest” stands for the nurturing home both of my grandmas and parents created, a space where family and love were always the priority, even with imperfections. We have large families on all sides and live within a 30 mile radius, and we've continued to keep traditions and time spent a priority. My fondest memories are at home or homes of my family. My mom with my aunts and sisters sprawled out on the living room floor to watch Grey's Anatomy every week, Grandma Sue's homemade chicken noodle for thanksgiving, Grandma Church's all-day Christmas Eve's or Dad's Friday family pizza nights where all the cousins ran wild creating memories, that's what home is about. As life gets busier and time passes, the one thing that is always a constant is your nest and your family.
The creativeness is rooted deep. Grandma Church has always been so creative and growing up I felt drawn to the way she used her creativity. She is always scrapbooking, taking photos, and sewing. I didn't get the sewing ability but my creativeness definitely comes from her, along with piles of my own scrapbooks as a reminder. Growing up, my mom would come home and I would be in the kitchen organizing the fridge and all the cabinets with everything strung out. Always a mess before it got better, but the final result was always so pleasing. Needless to say, that became my permanent chore -- I should have known then that my path was helping others create the nest they want and deserve.
